Wedge Roller Round (Clipped)

Features and Mechanical effects:

The 3° wedge increases the P3’s palmar angle and releaves the deep flexor tendon. The slight rocker push the break-over point back to the quarters assuring a dynamic moviment at the end of the stance phase. The bevels on heels push the support area forward which reduces the caudal levers and provide a smoother landing. The inner rim helps to sink the toe in order to enhance the wedge function.

Therapeutic Effects:

The slight rockering, which shifts the break-over point back towards to the foot’s center of pressure, unloads the deep digital flexor tendo at the stance phase and in motion, especially on hard and compact ground.

The sole relief avoids the direct contact from the foot sole and the shoe.  This shoe is very helpful for horses with discomfort upon DIP joint extension.

Indication:

- Podotrochlear (navicular) syndrome;

- Flat or negative palmar angle;

- Distal Interphalangeal joint desease;

- Enthesopathy and tendinites of the deep flexor tendon.
