Navicular Bar (Clipped)

Characteristics: The Navicular Bar (Clipped) features an oval, "Long Shape" design—longer and narrower than standard shoes. This closed-bar design ensures superior load distribution. It includes a smooth bevel along its contour to assist in rolling, as well as the signature "heel wedge" with front and rear bevels. This configuration shifts the break-over point toward the quarters, anticipating the break-over (the rolling movement over the toe at the start of the swing phase).

The sole relief prevents direct contact with the hoof sole, protecting against sole sensitivity. The clips (guarda-cascos) provide enhanced fixation and stability on the hoof. Additionally, a steel insert offers excellent abrasion resistance and minimizes wear in the toe area.

Biomechanical and Therapeutic Effects: This shoe features a balanced structure that aids in uniform weight distribution, reducing joint pressure. The wedge and bevels allow the animal to self-balance, finding its most comfortable stance during the static phase. In the dynamic phase, the wedge moves the break-over point closer to the center of the joint, facilitating movement and significantly relieving pressure on the navicular bone.
