Egg Bar Narrow WEDGE (Clipped)

Biomechanical Characteristics and Effects: The Egg Bar Narrow Wedge features a "Long Shape" design—longer and narrower—with wedged heels. This shoe offers a balanced structure that helps distribute the horse's weight evenly, reducing joint pressure and improving the animal's stability and balance.

It is designed with a smooth bevel along its contour to assist in rolling, and an internal spherical relief to allow the toe region to "sink-in" further, providing greater traction during movement. The sole relief prevents direct contact between the shoe and the hoof sole, protecting against sole sensitivity. The clips (guarda-cascos) provide enhanced fixation and stability, while the steel insert offers high abrasion resistance and reduces wear in the toe area.

Therapeutic Effects: The angled surface elevates the heels and corrects a negative palmar angle. It reduces stress on the distal sesamoid bone (navicular bone) and the Deep Digital Flexor Tendon (DDFT).

Indications:

• Correction of negative palmar angle.
