Biomechanical Characteristics and Effects: Designed with a wide support surface, the Spider Round ensures optimal load distribution and support for the heels and the frog. The "spider-web" bar design not only supports the frog but also provides superior stability to the shoe itself.

The internal spherical relief allows for deeper ground penetration in the toe region. It is engineered with front, lateral, and medial bevels to promote rolling in all directions. The sole relief prevents direct contact between the shoe and the hoof sole, protecting against sensitivity. The clips (guarda-cascos) provide enhanced fixation and stability on the hoof.

Therapeutic Effects: This shoe shifts the weight-bearing surface toward the rear of the hoof, with the spider-web bar providing superior load distribution. By better distributing the forces applied to the hoof, it ensures greater stability for the podotrochlear apparatus, especially during the landing and stance phases.

Indications:

  • Prevention of unilateral Laminitis in cases of increased load-bearing due to injury in the opposite limb.

  • Transferring the support area to healthy regions of the hoof in cases of wall lesions (e.g., quarter cracks or "slipper toe").

  • Situations requiring maximum hoof support and stability.
